Bill serves as a Senior Consultant with MSL, providing services since 2008. He has over 20 years of experience in healthcare facilities management and compliance issues.
After completing his undergraduate work, Bill spent three years working as a project engineer for a general/mechanical contractor. His hospital experience started when he took a position with SunHealth as a Facility Consulting Engineer. During that tenure, he worked with many hospitals within North Carolina and the Southeastern United States in preparing them for Joint Commission inspections. After working with SunHealth for 5 years, Bill became the Director of Facility Engineering and Safety at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He oversees plant operations, construction, communications, security and the environment of care. Bill has earned the designations of Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Healthcare Engineer (CHE), Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM), and has obtained Senior level in the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (SASHE).
Bill has been active in healthcare engineer associations at both the State and National level. In 2004 he was the President of NCHEA and has held various offices and served on the NCHEA Board for 15 years. In 2005, he was awarded ASHE’s Regional Leader Award. From 2006-2010, Bill was elected to serve on the ASHE Board of Directors. He currently serves as the Advocacy Liaison for NCHEA.
Bill graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and earned his Masters in Business Administration (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Elon University.
