Troy Martin joined MSL in 2015, and serves as a Senior Consultant. He has over thirty years of experience in clinical engineering, security, environmental services, facility management, plant operations, construction management, Environment of Care, and Life Safety.
Prior to MSL, Troy was the Administrative Regional Director for Facility Services, Catholic Health Initiatives-Franciscan, Tacoma, Washington. At CHI-FHS he had 8 Facility Managers and 5 EVS Managers in Washington and Oregon reporting to him. Additional experience includes Director of Facilities Services at Poudre Valley Health System, Ft Collins Colorado, a 320-bed hospital, and as Facility Manager for North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. While working for Poudre Valley Hospital, Troy was involved in their journey to achieving the Malcolm Baldridge Award for healthcare in 2009. He also participated in Poudre Valley Hospital becoming the first hospital in the state of Colorado to be recognized for Energy Star in 2003.
Troy is a long-standing member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), having served on the ASHE Board of Directors and was President of the society in 2009. Troy is a Senior in the society and is also a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM). He has a Healthcare Construction Certificate from ASHE.
Troy received his Associates Degree in Biomedical Electronics from Texas State Technical Institute, Waco, Texas and a Bachelor’s Degree from Southwest Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas
