Hal Hudson
Senior Consultant
CHFM
Hal Hudson joined MSL in 2020 serving as a Senior Consultant. He has over 37 years of healthcare facilities and construction management experience, specializing in mid-size facilities. Most recently with a suburban facility in Denver, Colorado, Hal was responsible for all facilities support and safety services in a 114-bed acute care hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and free-standing Emergency Center. He spent many years with a 345-bed regional referral center in northern Iowa with an extensive outreach network. He held leadership roles in facilities, support services, and safety management. Later he led construction, planning, and off-campus facility development. Earlier in his career, he also held facilities and support services leadership positions with hospital systems in Illinois and Ohio.
With his continuous improvement methodology background, Hal provides Lean design facilitation services for healthcare organizations developing complex projects. He holds a utility patent for a design prototyping system for clients to visualize their proposed solutions. Hal is a long-standing member of ASHE and the Colorado Association of Hospital Engineers and Directors. He also holds a Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) designation from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. Hal holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Illinois University.
