Paul Shackelford joined MSL in 2024 serving as a Senior Consultant. He has over 30 years of experience in healthcare as a skilled, seasoned, and innovative physician executive who has produced exceptional results at all levels. He has served as a clinical, academic, and administrative leader with experience leading organizations in various settings, (i.e., private practice, academic medicine, rural, undeserved, suburban). He actively seeks challenging experiences that require leveraging strong leadership skills and includes awareness of self and others, internal and external organization relationship building, and the ability to use data to create operational efficiency and provide quality improvements.

Paul is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is on the Health Guidelines Revision Committee, the Steering Committee, and the Board of Trustees for the Facilities Guidelines Institute (FGI). He has also authored and co-authored several publications and abstracts and has contributed to a textbook for the American College of Physicians, 2005.

Paul received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Master of Science Degree in Biology from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. He received a Medical Doctorate Degree from Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC, and a Resident Physician at the Pennsylvania State University M.S. Hershey Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Hershey, PA.
